If you have ever had to answer the question of how to stay entertained indoors, we have the answer. Video games!
Here is a look at 4 upcoming video game releases:
1. Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Release April 10
Final Fantasy 7 was first released in 1997, and some diehard fans are eager to see what over 20 years of technological advances can do to improve the original. They finally got Square Enix to do the remake.
That is a lot of pressure for Square Enix. Final Fantasy 7 is considered a gold standard of the JRPG genre. The release was originally announced at the gaming expo E3 2015.
Square Enix has been working on it since 2015, and there is finally a release date of April 10th, 2020.
What is great is that the game has “gone gold” meaning there is a master copy that has been shipped to the distributor and that this is the final version and it is ready to be released. No more delays!
There is now a three-hour demo available on the PlayStation Store that you can check out until the April 10th release date.
2. Resident Evil 3 Remake, Release April 3
The Resident Evil 2 Remake was considered to be one of the best recent releases, so there is a good chance that Resident Evil 3 Remake will be good as well.
It features third-person shooter gameplay, and at a recent State of Play, it was announced that Resident Evil 3 Remake will also include a multi-player spin-off Resident Evil: Resistance.
Based on the 1999 classic of survival horror, Resident Evil 3 Remake has cutting edge graphics and gameplay.
The player controls Jill Valentine who has to survive the zombie apocalypse while being hunted by Nemesis, the intelligent bioweapon. Carlos Oliveria returns as well as a mercenary that helps survivors.
3. Wasteland 3, Release May 19
This third entry into the Wasteland series can be played solo or in co-op. This is a tactical role-playing game (RPG) that is story-driven, so the decisions and choices you make matter.
Opportunities will open up or close, or take you to new areas and new story arcs. This means that the game is ever-changing so that it can be replayed and still be exciting.
Developer InXhile is working on including a new dialogue system and fully voice acted characters that are sure to make the experience of this game even more immersive.
4. Ghost of Tsushima, Release June 26
In this game, you play the samurai swordsman known as “The Ghost”. Based on real historical events from the year 1274, “The Ghost” has to fight against an invading force from the Mongol Empire.
At the Game Awards in 2019 a trailer revealed sophisticated combat and gorgeous scenery. The developer Sucker Punch described it as the biggest game they had ever made, “by a wide margin” so if you are a fan of Sucker Punch games, this one is for you.
These games are something to look forward to!
