Disney+ Offers Entertainment You Won’t Find Elsewhere

Disney has decided to challenge the streaming service domination of Netflix and Amazon Prime, with a new streaming service called Disney+. Sign-ups in the first week alone were 10 million.

This streaming service features TV and movie content from Walt Disney Studios and Walt Disney Television, which includes Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and 20th Century Fox.

And the service is on-demand and ad free!

Here is the content you can find on Disney+, some that you can’t find elsewhere:

Marvel

Disney+ will feature content from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

Captain Marvel and Avengers: Endgame is available to stream from the first day of launch.

All of the MCU titles are likely to be part of the service eventually. But other MCU content being developed exclusively for Disney+ include The Falcon and the Winter Soldier for fall of 2020, Loki for spring of 2021, Hawkeye for fall of 2021 and WandaVision for spring of 2021.

Some titles in the works that will eventually be added are the series She-Hulk and Mrs. Marvel.

Another four movies that Marvel will be adding are Thor: Ragnarok, Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War and Ant-man and the Wasp.

There will also be an original show called Marvel’s Hero Project, a reality series looking at positive community changes led by young people.

Star Wars

Disney now owns Marvel and Lucasfilm, meaning that the movies within those franchises will be on the service. However, the six original Star Wars films are still under Turner’s broadcasting rights, so they aren’t expected on Disney+ until 2024 or later.

The Mandalorian is available on the day of launch and will be followed by the 7th and final season of Star Wars, Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

Titles whose available dates are to be announced are the Cassian Andor Project, a Rogue One prequel series, and the Obi-Wan Kenobi Project.

Disney+ will be adding Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Solo: A Star Wars Story and Star Wars Episode IX: Rise of Skywalker, once they have finished their runs in theatres.

Original Shows

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series – a scripted series following a group of students.

Encore! – a reality series about castmates of a high school musical.

The Imagineering Story – a docu-series about Walt Disney “Imagineering”.

The World According to Jeff Goldblum – a reality series looking at familiar things in a new light.

Original Shows – Pixar

Forky Asks a Question – Forky asks questions about how the world works.

SparkShorts – a short film series about storytellers.

Pixar IRL – a prank show.

Pixar will be adding Coco, Incredibles 2, and Toy Story.

Original Movies

Lady & The Tramp – live action reboot of the classic animation.

Noelle – a story featuring the children of Santa Claus.

Every theatrical Disney movie released in 2019 onward will be added six to 10 months after debuting in theatres.

Disney is the biggest name in entertainment, and Disney+ will be featuring everything Disney offers. Disney+ will please everyone!
